Blast from the past – tunic

A few years back I found an old sewing book from the 1970s. It was a reprint so obviously popular again and I saw why.  It doesn’t look like much, neither the cover or the inside with boring black & white pictures but the patterns are wonderful! It’s in danish and I have no idea if it’s translated to anything else, didn’t find it in swedish. No problem using the patterns though. If you’re curious about it, click heretunic backtunic side.

This was my first try. I used an old pillow case just to try out the pattern and it’s really cute.  It was pretty much my first encounter with bias tape and that part didn’t turn out that well, damn you bias tape! Still feel the same way by the way. Don’t like using the iron either, as you can see by the pictures…
